This is an exciting opportunity for you to use some high-tech tools to continue your education while earning 10 CMAA education credits (if you are a member) for each Program, all from the comfort of your office!
WHO: The Power Performance Program was developed to provide exciting learning opportunities for club managers and their key assistants. It is recognized by CMAA for education credits as one more way in which CMAA is trying to help you achieve your educational goals. Crystal Thomas, MCM, CHE is a CMI-approved speaker. Her company, Crystal Clear Concepts, Inc. is a performance coaching corporation, specializing in one-on-one coaching, staff retention, and bottom line improvement.
WHAT: Power Performance ProgramTM Part One and Power Performance ProgramTM Part Two. A web-based, teleconference program, it allows you to be “in and out of class” in an hour per week. Part One curriculum covers: a forthright management discussion, a look at your career path, time management, goal setting, labor discussion (2 weeks on this!), your style of communication, excellence in service for food and beverage, club controls and a round table discussion (your choice for topics.) Part Two curriculum covers: goal setting and “the plan”, menu engineering, creative conflict resolution, a financial discussion, special events, facilities maintenance discussion, meeting skills, a management overview, and a round table discussion (your choice for topics.)
WHY: To allow you to continue the learning process without ever leaving the office, and to support you and your club moving forward. For non-CMAA members, the education office will hold credits for up to five years and offer them retro-actively when they do join.
WHERE: From the comfort of your own office, just one hour per week for 10 weeks.
Although the program was originally designed for Assistant Managers and Supervisors, it has had General Managers enroll, and they have found the program very beneficial.
A comment from one of the participants that has completed both Part I and Part II follows:
“The Power Performance Program is a well-balanced tool beneficial to all management positions and especially geared towards club operations. It is a true positive and productive approach to both professional and personal growth.” Chris Banner, Food & Beverage Director, Friendly Hills Country Club
